Polished Attributes
Field | Description | Notes | Expected Column Header |
Stones | The number of stones the item contains. | stones
Shape | Shape refers to the general silhouette of a diamond and can be classified as any number of shapes including round, cushion or pear. | Eg. BR, OV, EM, PS, etc. | shape |
Color | The absence of color ranging from colorless to light yellow or brown | Eg. D, E, F, G, etc. | color |
Clarity | The relative absence of inclusions and blemishes. Graded on a scale from Flawless to Included based on size, nature, number, position, and relief of characteristics visible under 10x magnification. | Eg. VS1, VVS2, etc. | cl |
Cut | For standard, D-to-Z color, round brilliant diamonds. Cut grade incorporates the aspects of face-up appearance, design, and craftsmanship. | Eg. G, VG, EX, F, P | cut |
Polish | Smoothness of the diamond’s surface, assessed on a scale ranging from excellent to poor. | Eg. G, VG, EX, F, P | polish |
Symmetry | Exactness of the diamond’s outline, and the shape, placement, and alignment of its facets, assessed on a scale ranging from excellent to poor. | Eg. G, VG, EX, F, P | sym / symmetry |
Fluorescence | Strength and color of the diamond when viewed under long-wave ultraviolet light. A fluorescence description of “none” represents a range of fluorescence from indiscernible to very faint. Used for identification purposes. | Eg. N, F, etc. | fl / fluorescence |
Measurement | Diamond dimensions listed as “minimum diameter – maximum diameter x depth” for round diamonds and “length x width x depth” for fancy-shaped diamonds. | mm
Gridle | Thickness of the intersection of the crown and pavilion which defines the perimeter of the diamond.
Culet | Size of the facet at the tip of a gemstone relative to the average diameter for round shapes or width for fancy shapes.
Depth | Table-to-culet depth, expressed as a percentage of average girdle diameter for round shapes or width for fancy shapes. | depth
Table | Table size expressed as a percentage of a round brilliant’s average girdle diameter for round shapes or width for fancy shapes. | table
Ratio | Each diamond shape has a range of ideal length to width ratios | ratio
Lower Half | The Lower Half % describes the average distance a diamond's lower girdle halves run on a straight line from girdle to culet.
S Length | Length of star facets expressed as a percentage of the total distance between the girdle and the edge of the table facet.
Crown Angle | Crown angle is the measured angle between the bezel facet plane and the table plane. | The average of eight crown angle measurements is reported to the nearest half of a degree (0.5°).
Crown Height | Crown height percentage is the diamond’s crown height, measured from the table to the intersection of the bezel facet and the girdle, expressed as a percentage of its average girdle diameter. | It is reported to the nearest half of a percent (0.5%)
Pavilion Angle | Pavilion angle is the measured angle between the pavilion main facet plane and the table plane. | The average of eight pavilion angle measurements is reported to the nearest 0.2 degrees.
Pavilion Height | Pavilion depth percentage is the diamond’s pavilion depth, measured from the culet to the intersection of the pavilion main facet and the girdle, expressed as a percentage of its average girdle diameter. | It is reported to the nearest half of a percent (0.5%).
Hearts Arrows | Hearts and Arrows diamonds are precision-cut round diamonds. Because of their exact angles and symmetry, they show a hearts-and-arrows pattern when viewed | Arrows are visible from the top of the diamond, and hearts are visible when the diamond is face-down.
Eye Clean | Eye Clean grading of the item.
Lab | The lab which certified the item. | Used to redirect customers to the lab certification. | lab_type |

Item Breakdown
In case an item contains more than a single stone, and usually more than a single bag / box (container), the platform provides an option to specify how is the item divided internally.
- Each bag / box should be described with the following information:
- Size - the size (measurement) of the content of the container.
- Weight - the total weight of the container (using the same unit as the item's weight unit).
- Stones - the number of stones inside the container.
The system is displaying this information to customers, together with the percent value of the weight that each container contains.
Media
Each inventory item may contain different media to be displayed for customers and for internal uses.
- Cover Image - main image to be displayed for the item. This image is also used as the cover image for lots.
- 3D video - provides a link for 3D video (currently supports Youtube or Vimeo).
Sarine Advisor Documents
For rough diamonds, the platform is supporting the upload of Sarine Advisor documents. The documents are shared with customers as downloadable links.
